Frontier Customer Service
Frontier's new messaging-based system for customer service has some passengers upset. Joe Lorenz recently flew with Frontier from Michigan for New Years. He was frustrated that he couldn’t solve his online checkin problem through the messaging platform. Instead of resolving the issue over email, he had to talk to a ticket agent at airport.
This employee was rude and dispassionate about resolving the issue. He was dismissed by her, saying, "I work in the ticket counter, but not at the gate."
He said that he had to go through multiple conversations and several employees before he was able to get his luggage checked. He said that the $25 fee was refunded to him when he was able check his baggage at the airport. However he intends to switch to another airline for next time.
Frontier's Baggage Policy
You must adhere to the guidelines regarding weight and size when you fly with a carry-on. Passengers who do not follow the guidelines may be subject to a $60 surcharge.
You should also be aware that some of the more expensive bundle packages don't allow you to carry-on any luggage, so make sure you choose wisely if you're aiming for the maximum savings.
Frontier isn’t as bad than some of its competitors despite the high number of fees. If you have a limited budget, Frontier's rewards program and low fares might be worth looking into. Frontier's cancellation and baggage policies are important to be aware of before you book your flight.
