Nokia 3.2 Review

health canada product quality review

Despite being a budget phone, the nokia 3.2 is a good buy thanks to its stock Android experience and a large display. The phone has a large display and a battery that is larger than most phones.

smartphone build quality

The construction of a product is crucial. The Nokia 3.2 features a solid and well-made polycarbonate unibody, which looks durable enough to withstand a little knocking. We found that the rear glossy panel is easily scratched and recommend using a protective case.

Updates and upgrades to software

Nokia 3.2 has Android 9 Pie installed out of the box. Regular updates will be made available as part the Android One Programme. This is a welcome feature as not many devices in this price range offer assured OS updates for two years or more, let alone three-year security patches.

Digital Wellbeing, a key feature of a budget phone, is included in the Google suite. It has a physical button for Google Assistant and an on-screen shortcut as well.

camera test and reviews

The nokia 3 is equipped with a 5-megapixel front camera that has a fixed-focus and an aperture of F/2.4. This is standard for mid-range smartphones. It takes decent selfies with minimal distortion and good skin smoothening.

In our tests in low light, we noticed a little noise and lots of texture. It was disappointing because we had hoped to get better results with a camera at this price point.

Audio reviews and testing

The 3.2 has a single, side-firing speaker that is good for its small size. However, it does not produce a lot of bass. The sound is very similar with other budget smartphones of this price. If you're an avid audiophile, we recommend investing in a pair of good earphones.

Screen and Display

The 6.26-inch HD+ Display on the Nokia 3.2 has a 80% screen-tobody ratio with a waterdrop notch at the upper edge. The resolution of 1520x720 is the same as that on other smartphones.

battery and battery life

The nokia 3 is powered by the quad-core Qualcomm Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 processor and Adreno 504 graphics. It comes in two variants: 2GB RAM with 16GB storage or 3GB Ram with 32GB storage. MicroSD cards can be used to expand internal and external memory by up 400GB.

Performance and Speed

The performance of the nokia 3.2 is not impressive, particularly when it comes multitasking or gaming. It struggles to load apps, and it stutters in animation. Even though it was designed to give a stock Android feel, the overall experience is sluggish.

Compare design and screen

The front is dominated on the nokia by its waterdrop notch, which lends it a very pleasing look. The notch of the nokia 3 is much less noticeable and more natural.
